Discover new places and feel the excitement of traveling alone, as each traveler offers insight into a world that’s waiting to be explored.

This week, we are excited to introduce Syifa Adriana, the adventurous soul behind the YouTube channel @SyifaAdriana. Syifa began her solo travel journey in 2013 and became a full-time traveler in 2016 after leaving Indonesia. With a background in International Relations, Syifa has a deep passion for exploring different countries, cultures, and ways of life. Her content dives into real-life interactions and experiences through the lens of a solo female traveler, offering viewers a genuine and immersive look at the world.

Syifa’s journey began with a five-month trip across Asia, which later led her to live in China, where she worked as an English teacher before dedicating herself entirely to YouTube in 2018. Since 2016, Syifa has traveled nomadically, documenting her adventures along the way. Now based in the UK after marrying her British husband, David, she continues to share her travels with her global audience.

In one of her latest videos, "Europe's Largest Tibetan Monastery is in Scotland!" (external link), Syifa takes her viewers to the village of Eskdalemuir, located in the border region between England and Scotland. Here, she visits the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Europe, the Samye Ling Monastery. The journey begins at Waterside Shepherd’s Hut, where she enjoys a unique and cozy stay in the rural Scottish countryside. Syifa’s enthusiasm shines through as she cycles to the monastery on an electric bike, capturing the peaceful beauty of the surrounding hills.

Upon arriving at Samye Ling, Syifa is struck by the serene atmosphere, Tibetan prayer flags, and the spiritual essence of the monastery, which transports her back to her memories of Nepal. She engages with locals and monks, discussing Tibetan Buddhism, the monastery’s significance, and the fascinating cultural mix of the region. Through her storytelling, Syifa immerses her audience in the unique blend of Tibetan and Scottish cultures, highlighting both the spiritual and community aspects of this hidden gem.

Syifa’s vibrant energy and curiosity make her videos more than just travel logs – they’re an exploration of life, culture, and human connection. Her time in Eskdalemuir beautifully captures the duality of Eastern and Western worlds, while her passion for learning and experiencing new things inspires viewers to embrace the unexpected in their own travels. If you’re seeking travel inspiration with a focus on culture and authentic experiences, @SyifaAdriana’s channel is a must-follow.
