Pumpkins, bats, witches, skeletons, Halloween music, and LEGO® models in a completely different look. On October 3, we were at LEGOLAND® Deutschland for the opening of Halloween Event 2026, and from the moment we entered, it was clear that the familiar park would feel different this time.
We have visited LEGOLAND before, so by now we have our favorite rides and places that our two girls immediately want to head for. Even so, the park manages to add something new every time and gives us another reason to explore it again.
For Halloween 2026, that starts with the decorations. They are not limited to a single area but gradually appear throughout different parts of the park, changing the atmosphere along the way.
BOOlevard welcomes visitors right from the entrance
The familiar LEGOLAND entrance has been transformed for Halloween, while the park’s main pathways have become BOOlevard.
Pumpkins, bats, spiderwebs, skeletons, and Halloween-themed LEGO details begin appearing everywhere. The decorations are fun enough for younger children while still giving the park a distinctly Halloween feel. In many places, it is worth slowing down because the smaller details are easy to miss when you are rushing toward the next ride.
This year, there is another reason to pay close attention to your surroundings. Right from the start, children can set off on the BOO-CREW MISSION.
BOO-CREW MISSION made us explore the park in a completely different way
BOO-CREW MISSION turned out to be one of the most entertaining ideas at this year’s Halloween Event.
You receive an orange card with tasks and puzzles spread across different parts of LEGOLAND. For us, it immediately changed the plan for the day. The girls started following which challenge came next, where we needed to go, and what they had to find.
So, between our favorite rides, there was always another little mission waiting for us.
In one place, you have to solve a puzzle; somewhere else, you need to find a specific detail; and in MINILAND, a specially built maze is waiting for you. There, children can discover parts of words needed to complete the BOO-CREW MISSION.
We really enjoyed this because the girls began looking for the next location on their own. Even areas we had explored on previous visits suddenly felt interesting again.
Hexen BOOde and a surprise we are not going to reveal
One of the stops along the Halloween route is Hexen BOOde.
The little witch’s cottage is tucked away among the greenery, and from the outside it looks as if it came straight out of a children’s Halloween story. Brooms, pumpkins, and plenty of small details around it are enough to spark any child’s curiosity.
We will leave what exactly happens there for visitors to discover themselves.
If you are completing the BOO-CREW MISSION, simply follow the challenges and make your way to Hexen BOOde. The surprise is much more fun when you do not know in advance what is waiting for you.
Happy Halloween 2026: a small LEGO souvenir from the Factory
LEGO® Fabrik is one of our must-visit stops almost every time we come to the park.
This time, a special yellow LEGO brick was waiting for us there: “Happy Halloween 2026.”
The brick itself is small, but souvenirs like this quickly become special for children. Our girls now had something tangible to connect with their Halloween visit in 2026.
And it is also fun to watch the brick make its way through the production process before it ends up in your hands.
You might also leave with a Winner Team LEGO brick
The Halloween program fits perfectly alongside all the smaller games and attractions you come across while making your way between the major rides.
One of them was a team water game in which eight teams compete against one another, pumping water as quickly as possible to “put out” the fire in front of them.
The competitive spirit kicks in quickly here, including among the parents.
If your team wins, the prize may be a small yellow LEGO brick marked Winner Team.
After the Happy Halloween 2026 brick, this became our second little collectible find of the day.
MYTHICA, the Great Dragon, and Halloween between our favorite rides
Of course, it is hard to spend a day at LEGOLAND without making time for our favorite rides.
Between the Halloween challenges, we found time for MYTHICA, the dragons, and the places our girls want to return to on every visit.
That is one of the reasons the Halloween Event works so well. You do not have to choose between the special program and a regular day in the park. The missions, decorations, and themed surprises fit naturally between the rides.
BOOgie-Woogie-Dance-Party in Land der Ritter
Another fun surprise was waiting for us in Land der Ritter: the BOOgie-Woogie-Dance-Party at the Burgbühne stage.
You can hear the music before you even reach the stage, where children, parents, and costumed members of the LEGOLAND team have already gathered. Kids can join the dancing right away, and the adults usually do not remain spectators for long.
Our girls certainly did not wait long. Within a few minutes, they were already dancing with the other children, surrounded by Halloween costumes, music, and laughter.
It was one of those moments that happens naturally between rides. You walk through Land der Ritter, hear the music, and before you know it, you have stayed a little longer than you planned.
Add the BOO-CREW MISSION, the decorations, the parade, and the evening lights, and Halloween follows you throughout the entire day.
LEGOLAND Parade with a Halloween twist
In the afternoon comes one of the moments that draws some of the biggest crowds of the day: the LEGOLAND Parade.
Shortly before it begins, visitors gradually line the route, children move closer to the street, and parents look for a spot with a good view.
Then the music starts.
During Halloween, the parade becomes even more colorful. The LEGOLAND team appears in themed costumes, familiar vehicles and characters make their way along the route, and the children wait for the moment when someone in the parade waves to them or gives them a high-five.
Our girls, of course, immediately found a place as close to the action as possible.
From an adult’s perspective, a high-five may seem like a small moment, but for a child, it can easily become one of the stories they keep talking about after getting home.
How to get a seat next to Olli in the parade
During the LEGOLAND Parade, you can also see Olli, the park’s green dragon, riding in his white limousine.
And here is a small tip we learned during our visit.
If you have ever wondered why a child is always sitting next to Olli, you can ask about available spots at Guest Services near the park entrance, behind the ticket booths and before the area leading toward LEGO City Shop.
Places are limited, of course, and there is no guarantee that one will be available. But if you are lucky, you may be able to reserve a spot for your child on a future visit.
For a child, watching the parade from Olli’s limousine is probably a very different experience from watching it from the side of the route.
Keep an eye out for a secret ninja during the parade
We have one more little Halloween tip.
While you are watching the parade, do not focus only on the large vehicles and characters.
Keep an eye out for the secret ninja as well.
During our visit, she was handing out small “Happy Halloween” stickers to the children. She is easy to miss among the music, costumes, and crowds, which made it even more fun when the kids spotted her.
LEGOLAND looks completely different after dark
If you are visiting the park on one of the longer Halloween Saturdays in October, it is worth staying into the evening.
After sunset, the decorations take on an entirely different look. BOOlevard glows in purple, green, pink, and orange, the spiderwebs stand out against the LEGO structures, and the park entrance takes on an atmosphere you simply cannot experience during the day.
On October 3, the rides operated until 7:00 p.m., while the park remained open until 8:00 p.m. That final hour was perfect for one more walk and a few photos without rushing toward the next ride.
After a full day in the park, both children and parents are starting to feel tired, but the evening lighting is well worth staying to see.
Halloween at LEGOLAND is worth it even if you have visited before
That may be one of the best things about LEGOLAND’s seasonal events. You can know the park well and still find enough new experiences to fill an entire day.
This time, our girls had their BOO-CREW MISSION cards in hand, searched for puzzles throughout the park, made their way through mazes, collected small LEGO souvenirs, and eagerly waited for the parade.
We were once again reminded how easily a familiar family theme park can feel different with a strong theme, plenty of small details, and activities that encourage children to get involved.
Halloween Event 2026 continues through November 8, 2026, leaving plenty of time for a visit during the fall school break as well.
If your children enjoy LEGO, puzzles, parades, and a slightly spooky atmosphere without anything too scary, Halloween is definitely one of the most interesting times to visit LEGOLAND® Deutschland.
For us, the day ended beneath the colorful lights of BOOlevard, with tired children, pockets full of little souvenirs, and the familiar question before we had even made it back to the car:
“When are we coming back?”
