Dear friends, once again, Happy New 2025 Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Today, we received our very first postcard for 2025, and it’s from Minsk, Belarus! Thank you so much, dear Anastasia, for starting our year with such a delightful surprise.
Minsk, the capital of Belarus, is a city that blends modernity with rich history and culture. A stroll through Independence Avenue reveals stunning Soviet-era architecture, while the Upper Town is the place to experience vibrant cafes and historic landmarks like the Holy Spirit Cathedral. Don’t miss the picturesque Gorky Park for a peaceful escape or a ride on the Minsk Ferris Wheel. When it comes to food, you simply must try draniki (potato pancakes), often considered the national dish of Belarus. Minsk is special for its warm hospitality, lush green spaces, and a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Minsk has one of the cleanest and most efficient metro systems in the world? Opened in 1984, the Minsk Metro features beautiful Soviet-era station designs and is a convenient way to explore the city.
